The winter bathing is open from the end of October until April 30. Around 300 active swimmers (season 03-04) enjoy a dip in the freezing water, and the sauna is kept warm daily. Winter bathing is on it´s rising in all parts of Finland, and together with the local club "Strandbjörnarna" ("The Beach Bears") we are trying to give good conditions to the Jakobstad region.
